Poems by Nancy NdekeTHREE WAY CROSSOf one from one to another,
A three call bonded timezones,
Neptune's saga of seas fantasy come real,
Twins in the horse barns quacking with winds whispered chimes.
Venturian man's square fitting in circles-
Wit has its day in prophecy, where coincidence fits perfectly in untamed moments,
On a morning already afternoon elsewhere,
Joy tags lucky threesome in a jubilant minute,
To keep the beads of old life wheeling the wheel of fortunate meetings.
Salute to the goodwill of souls fetted with a glow of oneness of spirit.
GRATITUDEEnds a day, a week, a month, to begin-
Looking forward after a glance back.
Married to life's seasons of blue and yellow sunrises,
Today carries memories deep for some,
Today memoriarises emotions alive,
An anniversary is not only for weddings and milestones,
It has darker hues of times frozen; sometimes in horror.
But for all flesh, a night dark of the soul visits,
Blurring colors, smudging the rainbow,
But tomorrow being a child of hope,
Rejoice by living while life sings a song the ear can hear.
O DEAR CHILD!You, who grew overnight in the steely hands of a fox,
You, who dreamt of days never nights,
You, who stopped smiling and laughing,
You,who got the blunt of loaned homes and fierce loving,
The shadows eventually won and took over hope,
Scars shone like wooden jewels bleeding into the pallid skin,
O child, mini man, mini woman-
Torn away from toys to become a toy to an adult!
Such is the broken Chinaware adorning a populace bent over with religious blind piety.
In their mind, the circles of yesterday encircle today.
Someone surely ought to cry for these children.
We see their blank faces in every mirror in our walls.
No one can claim ignorance.
