Poetry by Sharon Elizabeth WalkerHe WandersHe wanders alone and up the street
sometimes hobbling, and sometimes
He may be found weeping, discreetly,
as he recounts loves now past,
yet still he weeps.
As he wanders in every step,
filled with concerted remorse, regret…
Time has wandered passed him by,
before he reached with outstretched arms
Encircling opportunities in love,
embracing loves’ passions dreamed.
Now remembering as he wanders
along, the street watching, as with each
Opportunity now remised, his steps,
though slow, deliberate now may be,
So not now will he, lifes’ burdens
become his once heart-felt dreams.
Now in reality he breathes opportunities
as they walk, now intune with him,
As now he wanders along this street.
