My teacher under fire My teacher Lives in the same house near the school where she taught me She lived there during all the wars did not move from her home land I grew up and moved to another city The wars are still going on And my teacher lives in the line of fire Now it's sunset in my city The water is salty in the sea like tears And I pray that it will be A short war Less alarms for my teacher eighty-five years old She has no bomb shelter Just a concrete wall to which she runs when a missile was fired and a loud red alert Praying for god to protect us | |
